Erik Bratt

Erik has nearly 20 years of technology marketing and communications experience, including several years in news reporting. Erik currently is the Vice President of Corporate Communications at TelCentris, an innovative San Diego-based unified communications provider and the creator of VoxOx. Erik oversees all strategic communications at TelCentris, including public relations, analyst relations, and social media marketing.

Erik recently worked at Microsoft, where he helped lead marketing, public relations and social media initiatives as part of Trustworthy Computing, a division created by founder Bill Gates to promote the company's security and privacy accomplishments on a corporate-wide level. Erik helped launch the company's corporate privacy PR efforts, while also leading digital and blog strategy. Erik also took the lead on Microsoft's "Anywhere Access" initiative. Prior to Microsoft, Erik served as Director of Corporate Communications at WebSideStory, a web analytics pioneer that was acquired by Omniture (now part of Adobe). In that role, Erik generated significant publicity and industry recognition for the company's award-winning suite of online marketing optimization services. In Sept. 2004, he helped lead the company through one of the most successful technology IPOs of the year.

Erik previously headed up a boutique social media and public relations agency, while also producing best-selling reports ("Twitter Success Stories", "Social Media ROI Success Stories") on social media marketing for MarketingProfs.com, a popular online marketing web site. Prior to that, he lead the social media efforts at a San Diego consumer start-up, where he helped drive consumer registrations more than 500 percent within six months through online video contests, content and blog marketing, word of mouth marketing, social network profiles, and search engine optimization. Erik started his career as a newspaper reporter for The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Erik was raised in Palo Alto, Calif., and graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. He enjoys playing basketball, swimming, writing and spending time with his wife and three children.
